All Electric Chevrolet Equinox Coming To Canada In 2024!

The EV market has some excellent news for 2024: The first Chevrolet Equinox electric vehicle is about to hit the road with top-notch performance, striking design, and, better still, affordable price tags. Let’s take a closer look at this fascinating vehicle.
Performance & Capabilities
The front-wheel drive (eFWD) and all-wheel drive (eAWD) models vary slightly in performance. The eFWD models deliver 236 lb-ft of torque capacity and 213 horsepower, while the eAWD models have 346 lb-ft of torque capacity and 288 horsepower. All eFWD models can travel 513km when fully charged. And the eAWD models can reach 96 km/h in 5.9 seconds and tow up to 680 kg.

Say goodbye to your gas engine and step into the future with GM’s Ultium Platform, which combines 24 battery modules with three electric motors, providing outstanding performance with zero emissions.
Meanwhile, the myChevrolet mobile app is compatible with both Android and Apple products. It gives you information about public charging stations, battery ranges, and the best routes based on your estimated range. There’s also a 17.7-inch diagonal touchscreen display available for all models.
Safety and Driver Assistance
Chevrolet’s driving assistance technology, Super Cruise, includes a wide array of assists, such as automatic lane change and lane change on-demand. Upper trims come equipped with HD surround vision and adaptive cruise control.
Super Cruise is the first hands-free driving system in this industry, where you can really take your hands off the wheel on compatible Canadian roads. Additionally, the following distance indicators include front pedestrian braking, forward collision alert, and lane-keeping assistance with departure warning.
Top Features
The Ultium Platform system breathes power into SUVs with sporty proportions. Outstanding features on the Equinox include a walk-up light with animations and an exclusive light bar in higher trims. Wheel size varies depending on the trim, ranging between 19-inch and 21-inch wheels. And it comes with Autosense, which opens the liftgate automatically when the keyfob approaches the back of the vehicle.
Interior and Exterior Design
The interior design has different options for customization of colors and accents, depending on the trim. There’s a panoramic sunroof available for higher models, and roof colours can be blue or black, depending on the trim. Front LED light bars are available for all trims except for the base trim.
Expected Trims and More
There’ll be five trims in the new lineup: 1LT, 2LT, 2RS, 3LT and 3RS, all with options for eFWD and eAWD. The 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV release date in Canada is still unknown. Still, it’s expected to come out in the first half of 2024. According to General Motors’ press release, Canadian prices will be disclosed near the release date.
