2023 Silverado HD 2500
Silverado is one of the most traditional pickup trucks in the market and, indeed, one of Chevrolet’s most successful lineups. It’s the perfect vehicle for heavy-duty jobs and runs well on pretty much any road condition. The new 2023 Silverado HD 2500 is already available with even better performance and more features. Keep reading and learn more about its new upgrades.
Performance and Driveability
There are two engines available for this lineup, regardless of the trim: the 6.6L V8 gas engine and the 6.6L Duramax Turbo Diesel. The first option comes with 401hp, 464 lb-ft of torque capacity, a six-speed automatic transmission, a trailing capacity of 8,391kg, and a payload capacity of 1,731kg. The 6.6L Duramax Turbo Diesel has a more powerful engine, producing 445hp and 910 lb-ft of torque. It has an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission, a trailing capacity up to 16,329kg, and a payload capacity of up to 3,376kg.
Interior and Exterior
The driver seat has 10 different adjustments across all trims, although this feature is optional on the basic trim. All seats are covered with high-end upholstery, and all-weather floor liners as optional.
Wheel sizes range from 43.18cm to 50.8cm and come in steel or aluminum. All trims come with daytime running lamps, deep-tinted glass, and capless fuel fill.
The flagship model has some exclusive options, like a body-colour front bumper and 15.24cm chrome rectangular assist steps. Buyers can also opt for a Chevrolet black decal, nameplates, cargo bed LED lighting, and front black bowtie emblem.
Tech and Safety
The new 2023 Silverado HD 2500 is as hi-tech and comfortable as it is sturdy. The temperature is controlled via a dual-zone automatic system. The sound system varies according to the trim: the basic model has a two-speaker system, and the flagship model has a seven-speaker Bose Premium sound system. There are three options of operating systems: the Chevrolet Infotainment 3, the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus, and the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium. All options come with a 20.32cm diagonal colour touchscreen. However, the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 also comes with a touchscreen size of 17.78cm on the Work Truck and Custom options trims, while it’s standard on the LT trim.
All trims come equipped with six airbags and plenty of driving assists, such as hitch guidance, blind-spot and lane departure alerts, rear cross-traffic alerts, tire pressure monitoring, and much more. The High Country also comes with an exclusive feature: a three-year OnStar and Connected Services plan.
